Background
GreenJinn is a free cashback app that helps grocery shoppers save money on weekly shop through weekly personalised coupons.
GreenJinn user currently lacks the incentives to recommend the app to their friends and families as it yields a certain amount of social risk i.e. will the recommendation be accepted or rejected, will it break your trust or affect social belonging.

Design Solution
To implement a solid incentive program through a referral feature within the app, encouraging users to recommend it to their friends and families sans hesitation.

The entire referral process consist of three part, each with their own user flow and mockup.
Part 1 - User sends referral link to friend


Part 2 - User accepts referral, claims signup bonus


Part 3 - User receives thank you coupon after referral success

Reflection
Due to constrained budget and time, the feature was designed through quick wireframing and prototyping rather than the conventional design thinking process. Usability evaluation was performed with other members of the company rather than with represented users. It would be more beneficial if the feature was tested with actual users to help identify potential usability problems and user experience with such feature.
